Mekliganj College is situated near the Indo-Bangladesh Border of Changrabandha. The socio-economic condition of the students of this College is not so favorable to face the outside world. Here Library plays a fundamental role in this college. Most of the students of this college rely upon Library for the books and journals, because they cannot afford to buy them.

Mekliganj College library is the gateway of knowledge and culture to the students, the teachers and the other members of the college. The resources and services it offers create opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, and help shape the new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and innovative society. The library preserves the rich culture and the knowledge for the future generations.

The Library serves different users in different manners. Students can read, borrow books, and access magazines available in the library. The teachers can read, borrow books and access the magazines. Internet service is also there to help in research works of the teachers. 5000 plus texts and reference books, E-resources, Magazines and Newspapers are the resources of the Library.  Online Journal facility through N-LIST is also provided to the users.

There is a Website of the Library named “Knowledge Hub” (https://sites.google.com/view/dola-librarianmc/home) to serve the users with various resources and information regarding College and Library programs and activities. Basically, Mekliganj College Library offers a means by which users can gain access to knowledge.

Library is partially automated with Koha Library Software.
